Privacy policy

Last updated 30 October 2026

The short version

  • Our apps do not collect any personal data. We cannot see what you enter.
  • Your data stays on your device and, if an app offers iCloud sync, in your own iCloud account.
  • No account, no tracking, no advertising, no analytics and no third-party SDKs.
  • This website sets no cookies and uses cookieless, self-hosted Plausible Analytics for anonymous visitor counts.

Who we are

00101010 is an independent software label, run by Mathijs Huis in the Netherlands. Mathijs Huis is responsible for the processing of personal data described in this policy. In this policy, “we” and “us” refer to 00101010.

This policy applies to all apps published by 00101010 for iPhone, iPad and Mac, and to the website 00101010.dev.

Our apps

Our apps are designed so that your data stays yours. They:

  • do not send personal data to us, and we have no servers that receive it;
  • do not use analytics, advertising or tracking, and do not track you across apps or websites;
  • do not include third-party SDKs that collect data;
  • do not require you to create an account or sign in.

Some apps let you keep a personal log, such as counts and the times you recorded them. Some also use features of your device to do their job, such as local notifications or the battery level of a connected accessory. All of this is processed on your device.

Storage and iCloud sync

What you enter in an app is stored on your device, in the app’s own sandboxed storage. Some apps can keep your data in sync across your devices using iCloud. If you are signed in to iCloud, that data is stored in the private database of your own iCloud account. iCloud is operated by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. We cannot access it, and it is never shared with us or anyone else.

iCloud sync is optional: if you are not signed in to iCloud, or turn iCloud off for an app, the app keeps working with the data on your device only. Your data may also be included in device backups you make with iCloud Backup, Finder or Time Machine.

You can delete your data at any time within the app. Deleting an app removes its data from that device. To remove the copy in iCloud, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage, and choose the app.

Apple and the App Store

You download our apps through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes data related to your Apple Account, downloads and purchases under Apple’s privacy policy. We do not receive your name, email address or payment details from Apple.

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may provide us with crash reports and aggregated statistics, such as the number of installs. This information does not identify you, and we use it only to fix problems and improve our apps. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

When you email us

If you contact us at ping@00101010.dev, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use this only to answer your question or handle your request. We do not share it with others or use it for marketing, and we delete it when it is no longer needed for that purpose. Our email provider processes these messages on our behalf.

This website

00101010.dev is a static website. It sets no cookies and loads no content from third parties — fonts and images are served from this domain.

To understand how the site is used, we run Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that we host ourselves at metenisweten.00101010.dev, on a server in the European Union. It counts page views, referring websites, and the browser, operating system, device type and country of visitors. It does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses or other personal data, and does not follow you across websites. To count unique visitors, a daily changing anonymous identifier is calculated from your IP address and browser; it is deleted after 24 hours and cannot be traced back to you. Only aggregated statistics are kept, and they are not shared with anyone.

As with any website, the hosting provider may briefly keep standard server logs (such as IP address, time of the request and the page requested) to keep the site secure and running. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. Because our apps collect no personal data, in practice this mostly concerns emails you have sent us. To exercise any of these rights, email ping@00101010.dev.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or with the supervisory authority in your own country.

Our apps collect no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If we add a feature that handles data differently, we will update this policy and the privacy details on the App Store before that version is released, and change the date at the top. For questions about this policy, email ping@00101010.dev.
